On the last Friday of June, Melika and Mark hosted an elegant ceremony and reception on the east side of Indianapolis after changing their wedding date over four times in the past year. The two wed at Laurel Hall on the street of Emerson Way in Indianapolis, Indiana. The venue had its historical charm and vintage appeal with brown tones galore. The ceremony took place inside the Solarium room, with the reception events in the venue's conference center.
The day began with looming gray clouds covering the skies before those dispersed, and hours later, golden sun rays shone through the venue's stained glass windows. Melika got ready with her maid of honor in the large bridal suite upstairs. Her wedding dress hung off the bed frame, and the train of the dress fell across the floor, its beads shining when touched by sunlight. Sweet moments with her mother and father wrapped up the pre-ceremony time moments before the ceremony began.
The ceremony room lit up with gorgeous soft light from the surrounding windows. The officiant led a sweet and simple ceremony that was a beautiful mix between a vow renewal and a new ceremony between the couple, seeing as the couple had wed in an intimate ceremony during the lockdown.
